Cactus Canyon, the world's largest gay campground, has come under attack.
For seven years, both owners and campers have suffered extreme
homophobic verbal harassment and physical assaults.

The owners have been shot at, there is often random gunfire at night,
surrounding land has been bought by anti-gay religious groups who have
hurled stones, verbal insults and threats, and a pig farm was set up
at the property line in an attempt to pollute the natural spring
that runs through the campground.
Sadly, the local police and politicians have been of little use in protecting
the campground or stopping the violence. One major state politician said he would not help stop the abuse because LBGT people were no different than criminals and rapists.

The owners have no intention of leaving, and after weathering this abuse for years, they are now seeking justice through the legal system. The cost of litigation and increased security is overwhelming. The anti-gay religious right is whole-heartedly funding the legal defense of the vicious perpetrators of these assaults.

These few people fighting this very important battle need OUR help.
